After missing the cut at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open, a good week will be playing the weekend at Royal Troon. While the walk may be easier than some other courses, it will be interesting to see how his body holds up with the cooler temperatures.
Woods said coming into the week his body is in the best shape it has been all year, however, there are surely still some limitations that will never go away because of the injuries he suffered and surgeries he has endured in recent years.
With how difficult Troon is playing, it’s hard to envision Woods shooting under par on Thursday, but anything in the 1-3 over range would be very respectable and keep him in the hunt for making the cut. Remember, that’s the goal.
